The evidence I have to confirm that my intended audience would be likely members of my magazine is the questionnaires I designed and distributed to both typical members and those who would not buy my magazine. I printed and gave out 20 questionnaires, predominantly to 16/17 year olds in my class but also to some teachers so that I could see if my magazine was also appropriate for an older audience.

Analysing Alex's questionnaire, I can confirm that she would be a likely member of my magazine...

Question 3 provided a selection of music magazines, Alex was required to tick all the magazines she was familiar with, she ticked NME, Q and Kerrang. This demonstrates the genre of magazine she looks out for. Question 6 was about the genre of music magazine that is of most interest, Alex ticked Indie therefore she would probably be interested in my magazine. For Question 7, the current artists Alex listened to were Florence and the machine, The Strokes, The Arctic Monkeys, Sub Focus and Adele, these artists were relevant to my magazine. On question 8, Alex wrote that she looks for a strong cover model, interesting sell lines, and eye-catching colour on a front cover. I feel that all the answers Alex gave in my questionnaire related to my magazine and therefore I can conclude she would be likely to purchase my magazine.
